Theft Of Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention

Below are some general Crime Prevention Advice from your local Safer Neighbourhoods Team in relations to Theft Of Motor Vehicles.

• Remember to lock your car even if you are leaving it unattended for a brief moment.
• Close your car windows and sunroof when leaving the car.
• Keep your keys safe and out of eyesight.
• Lock your car whilst in traffic to prevent carjackers.
• If garage parking is available, use it.
• Try to park where there is security cameras.
• If possible, park in a well-lit location.
• Consider using a steering lock/gear lock.

Make it a routine to do these checks to help protect your vehicle.

The team will endeavour to continue patrols and ensure all our residents feel safe on the ward.
